There are several really powerful visas in the world. Schengen is one of them. Did you know that when you get the Schengen visa to visit your favourite European destinations, you are also eligible to travel to some other non-schengen countries as well?
Well here is a list of some gorgeous (non-Schengen) Balkan countries that you can fit in your Euro-trip itinerary:
- Croatia
- Bosnia & Herzgovina
- Serbia
- Montenegro
- Kosovo
- Albania
- Macedonia
- Bulgaria
- Romania
- Belarus
- Cyprus
- Georgia
Also, did you know that some of the countries your Schengen lets you travel to, are out of Europe? If you obtain a multiple entry, you can also visit these beautiful Central American & Caribbean destinations visa free as well:
The only requirement often is, that you need to have travelled at least once in Schengen area on your visa before visiting the above.
Isn’t this amazing?
Amazing
Hi
It’s really great to see the information about different places and procedures….
Good job seriously
Have some creative ideas related !
So to be clear, one doesn’t need a Schengen visa if one wants to go to Croatia?
Hi. Sorry for the confusion, I’ve rephrased myself in the title. These are countries that don’t belong in Schengen, but you can visit them visa-free, ONLY if you have a valid Schengen and you lets say already going to Schengen region. 🙂
Ah with Schengen. I get it.
dear Anam,
thanks for your Sharing ideas,
but i just came from europe and i was keen to go Belarus
but unfortunately they Immigration told them i cant visit there- there will be breach of Immigration/
i suggest all of those who want to go other Countries they can get Visa on Arrival there
Awesome!
You got visa on Arrival? was it because you had a valid US/Schengen/UK visa?
And from which country did you land in Belarus?
Hi.
I’ve had the opportunity to travel most of the above mentioned countries on my Schengen Visa while back-packing through Eastern Europe. However, please keep in mind that Macedonia is not considered amongst countries which allow Schengen Visa/ Residence Permit Holders to enter. I was traveling from Albania to Macedonia, and was stopped on the border. They put an entry rejection stamp on my passport, and also filled out a separate form in which they specifically mentioned that the reason for refusing entry was because I didn’t have a valid visa. I had to turn back from there, and then hitchhiked to Greece instead.
Schengen visa guide please
Hello Anam,
Appreciate the information that you have shared here. Please let me know the link where it says one can visit Mexico with a Schengen Visa.
Thanks!
Hi, can you please make a guide on Schengen visa as well
soon!
i was in UK last week, and then to Turkey. I know now how easy it is to travel if you know the steps. But you are doing a very very fine job. I will keep in touch to learn more.
